I purchased this ring to start wearing on the day that I made my Promise as a Secular Carmelite. I wear it as a reminder of the special meaning of being a Secular Carmelite; that is, to live a life of allegiance to Jesus Christ, by pondering the Lord's law day and night, keeping watch in prayer, striving for evangelical perfection in the spirit of the evangelical counsels and through the Beatitudes and for personal holiness through my commitment with the Church and the Teresian Carmelite Order.
